Ventilation stations 147 and 149A

The Medical Clinic with a focus on infectiology and pneumology of the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin has two stations at the Charité Mitte campus (CCM): Station 147 and Station 149A, which specialize in the treatment of invasive and non-invasive ventilated patients.

  • Patients with disorders of the respiratory muscles in the context of neuromuscular diseases (e.g. amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, muscular dystrophy)
  • Patients with disorders of the respiratory musculature in the context of chest diseases (e.g. scoliosis)
  • Patients with disorders of the respiratory muscles in the context of lung diseases (e.g. COPD)
  • Patients with respiratory disorders due to severe overweight
  • Patients with Pulmonary Hypertension (Pulmonary Hypertension)
  • Patients who are to be adjusted for mask ventilation
  • Patients for whom existing ventilation is to be checked for the first time
  • Patients with existing ventilation who require inpatient admission for other medical reasons
  • Long-term ventilated patients in whom the prerequisites for weaning from ventilation are met (Weaning)

In addition, the intensive support of physiotherapists, respiratory therapists, speech therapists, psychologists and the social service is part of the treatment concept.

In the case of complex illnesses, we also work together interdisciplinary with other medical disciplines of the Campus Charité Mitte (CCM).

Please bring along on the day of admission

  • Hospitalization (issued in current quarter)
  • Health insurance card (and identity card for comparison)
  • medication plan
  • At the first presentation: all previous findings (doctor's letters, x-rays, laboratory values), if the pre-treatment did not take place at the Charité;
  • If available: Respirator, respirator mask, cough assistant

Visiting hours

In close consultation with the nursing staff, we ask that visits be carried out mainly in the afternoon and not after 8 pm. Thank you very much!
