ambulant
definition: non-stationary
Ambulant means non-stationary. The patient goes for ambulatory consultation, diagnosis and treatment to a clinical facility, the outpatient clinic. This takes one or more hours, but not several days. The patient does not have to be admitted to a ward; he or she does not spend the night in hospital.
Ambulance

An ambulance is a clinical facility in which patients with a referral can make appointments for consultation, diagnosis and treatment with a specialist doctor at the clinic without being admitted as in-patients.
Anti-infectives

ARDS is an abbreviation for the English technical term "Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome". This very strong reaction of the lungs to harmful influences is called "acute respiratory distress syndrome" or "acute lung failure" in German-speaking countries.
